Ananthan Nambiar

Ananthan Nambiar is a PhD student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), pursuing his studies in computational biology.

Prior to his current pursuit, Ananthan completed his undergraduate studies in Computer Science at Reed College, a liberal-arts institution in Portland, Oregon.

His academic interests lie in the intersection of complex networks, machine learning, and mathematical modeling, particularly in biological applications.

Ananthan has a solid educational background, including a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Bioengineering with a focus on Computational and Systems Biology from UIUC.

He also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Computer Science from Reed College, as well as impressive academic achievements from Methodist College Kuala Lumpur and SMK Wangsa Melawati.

Ananthan has been actively involved in various organizations, serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Carl R. Woese Institute for Genomic Biology.

His previous roles include being a Machine Learning Research Intern at Inari, a Graduate Teaching Assistant at UIUC, a Course Grader at Reed College, and a Researcher at the Center for Advanced Computation at Reed College.

He has also worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at Delhi University and the University of Malaya, showcasing his diverse research experiences.

Furthermore, Ananthan has contributed to the academic community as a Lead Science Outreach Instructor at Reed College and as a Replacement Teacher at Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia.
