Ananda Kulasooriya is a Visiting Research Professor leading a team in developing biofertilizers for eco-friendly and sustainable agriculture. With a background in Soil Microbiology and Fertility, biological nitrogen fixation, and research on toxin producing cyanobacteria, Ananda brings extensive expertise to the field.
Ananda Kulasooriya pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Botany at Dharmasoka College in Ambalangoda, Sri Lanka, laying the foundation for his successful career in academia and research.
Currently, Ananda serves as a Research Professor at the Institute of Fundamental Studies, contributing to cutting-edge research and innovation. He has also held positions as a Research Fellow at the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) in the Philippines and as a Senior Professor at the University of Peradeniya.
