Worked with three of my colleagues and one mentor on a project (LTS) with Siemens consultants. The assignment was to implement Level 2 of automation in our department SMS-1. LTS signifies Ladle Tracking System wherein the position and status of Ladle can be tracked in real time to optimise the efficiency and time involved in the production cycle. After the completion of this project, the cycle time in our department has been reduced by 3% which is the reason for saving about 50K unit of electricity on a daily basis.
