Anabelle Fournier

Mixed methods research, health equity, reproductive justice

Anabelle Bernard Fournier is a writer, researcher, and advocate for sexual and reproductive health and justice. She holds a PhD in Social Dimensions of Health and an MPH in Public Health from the University of Victoria, as well as a BA in Psychology from the same institution. She has also studied English at the University of Alberta and Concordia University. Anabelle has worked as a research assistant, writer, blogger, copywriter, translator, project manager, and administrative assistant at various organizations.

Anabelle's research focuses on conscience-based refusals of care, stigmatized sexualities, and medical ethics. She is also interested in the sociology of sexuality, health care access policy and equity, and feminist issues. She has written extensively on relationships and sexual health, sexual and reproductive justice, and other feminist topics for publications like Verywell and SheKnows Media, and has contributed to Kinkly Magazine and Vivint Smart Home, among others.
