Amy Carlson is an American actress, best known for her role as Linda Reagan on the CBS police procedural Blue Bloods. Born on July 7, 1968, in Elmhurst, Illinois, she was raised in Glen Ellyn and has Swedish heritage. Carlson graduated from Knox College with a B.A. in East Asian history and a concentration in Theater, after which she pursued a career in acting, initially appearing in the soap opera Another World and later in the NBC drama Third Watch as Alex Taylor.14
Carlson's portrayal of Linda Reagan on Blue Bloods spanned from 2010 to 2017, during which she appeared in 155 episodes. Her character was a nurse who tragically died in a helicopter crash, a plot twist that surprised many fans.15 After leaving Blue Bloods, she continued to work in television, including roles in The Society, FBI: Most Wanted, and various films.3
In addition to her acting career, Carlson has received several accolades for her work, including nominations for a Daytime Emmy Award and awards for directing and acting in short films.
