Amrish Nair

Amrish Nair is the Founder and Director of Biorithm, a medtech startup focused on developing innovative medical device technologies aimed at improving maternal health. He was born and raised in Singapore and holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU). His graduate research has led to several international publications and a US patent related to ECG signal analysis and monitoring, showcasing his expertise in biomedical applications and signal processing.12

At Biorithm, which he co-founded in November 2016, Nair and his team are dedicated to making medical technology more affordable and accessible. The company specializes in remote monitoring solutions and wearable technology, particularly for maternal care, with a mission to address preventable complications during pregnancy. Biorithm's flagship product, Femom, is designed to facilitate patient monitoring and provide personalized guidance to improve healthcare outcomes for mothers and their babies.13

Nair's work is characterized by a commitment to innovation and collaboration with healthcare institutions, as well as a focus on conducting medical studies to validate their technologies. His leadership has been pivotal in securing funding for Biorithm, including a recent $3.5 million in Series A funding aimed at expanding their reach in Southeast Asia and the United States.34
