Amita Goel

Amita Goel is a biopharmaceutical industry veteran with over 30 years of experience in leading the development of mammalian cell lines and manufacturing processes for various biotherapeutics. Her extensive experience includes having held leadership positions at Elan Pharmaceuticals, Arresto Biosciences, and Gilead Sciences. She is the founder and CEO of Celltheon Corporation, a biotechnology company that develops technology platforms for bioprocessing, biotherapeutics, and gene therapy.

Throughout her career, Goel has also published numerous papers on gene expression and holds several patents for her work in the field. She is an active member of the biopharmaceutical community and serves on the advisory board of Keck Graduate Institute's Amgen Bioprocessing Center. She also regularly teaches classes on cell line development and bioprocessing at Keck Graduate Institute.

Goel received her BS in Microbiology from Texas Tech University and her MS in Microbiology from San Jose State University.
