Amit Desai

Amit Desai is an accomplished business executive with experience in consumer and enterprise tech, energy, and non-profit organizations. He currently serves as Head of BizOps, Strategic Planning & Initiatives at Pinterest, where he partners with company leadership to drive cross-functional engagement and alignment around priority strategic initiatives. Prior to his role at Pinterest, Amit worked as a Senior Manager at Bain & Company, where he developed expertise in framing and solving executives' most important strategy and operations challenges. Amit brings an analytical mindset and a collaborative approach to his work and is passionate about delivering top and bottom line results. He holds a Ph.D. and a Master of Science (M.S.) in Materials Science & Engineering from Stanford University, as well as a M.Phil. in Physics from the University of Cambridge, and a B.S. in Materials Science & Engineering from North Carolina State University. In addition to his professional experience, Amit has served as the Co-Founder and Board of Directors at Energyfolks and as a researcher at BASF, MIT, and the Institute for Materials Research & Engineering (Singapore).
