Ami Hopkins

Ami Patel Hopkins is an individual passionate about fostering collective impact by connecting people. With a vision of creating a better world for her children and students, she advocates for values like Forgiveness, Love, Empathy, and Hope, alongside principles of Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. Her educational journey includes a focus on Secondary Education Certification and Teacher Residency at Drexel University School of Education, a Master's degree in Public Policy with a specialization in Education Policy from The Johns Hopkins University, and a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies from Penn State University.

Ami has been actively engaged in various roles across different organizations. She has served as a 7th Grade Math & Science Teacher in The School District of Philadelphia and held the Founder position at Asha Advisors, LLC. Her previous experiences range from teaching positions in science and kindergarten transition, to leadership roles encompassing teaching, learning, and innovation. She has also contributed her expertise as a Policy Advisor and Deputy Education Officer at the City of Philadelphia, showcasing a diverse and extensive professional background.

She has a rich history of involvement in educational initiatives, such as serving as a College Counselor, 1st Grade Teacher, and participating in AmeriCorps programs. This varied experience demonstrates her commitment to making a positive impact within the realm of education and community development.
