Amee Barber is a highly qualified individual with a strong educational background, holding a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Political Science from the University of Alberta, along with a Master of Arts (M.A.) and Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in Political Science from Queen's University.
With an extensive professional history, Amee has held key roles in various organizations, notably serving as the Manager of Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs for Potentially Reduced Risk Products at British American Tobacco, and as an Advisor for the Prairie Region at the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP).
Amee Barber has also contributed to governmental bodies, working in roles such as Executive Advisor in the Department of Energy at the Government of Alberta, as well as Senior Intergovernmental Strategic Analyst and Policy and Legislation Analyst in the same department. Additionally, she has experience as a Caucus Researcher at the Legislative Assembly of Alberta.
Having a diverse skill set, Amee has also been involved in academic pursuits, previously working as a Sessional Instructor, Researcher, and Teaching Assistant at the University of Alberta. Currently, she holds a position in Government Relations and Industry Affairs at Syngenta.
