Amanda Hunt
Amanda Hunt is an accomplished curator and former Director of Education and Public Programs at MOCA, Los Angeles. With a Master's Degree in Curatorial Practice from the California College of Arts, she has served as Associate Curator at The Studio Museum in Harlem, and at the Los Angeles non-profit LAXART. Amanda was also a Co-Curator at the 2019 Desert X Biennial and helped produce major initiatives in Los Angeles, including the Pacific Standard Time Performance and the Public Art Festival. As a curator, Amanda has organized several nationally acclaimed exhibitions, including "Xu Zhen: In Just a Blink of an Eye," "Black Cowboy," and "inHarlem: Kevin Beasley, Simone Leigh, Kori Newkirk, Rudy Shepherd." She has also curated Portland2014: A Biennial of Contemporary Art.
Currently, Amanda is serving as the Director of Public Programs & Creative Practice at Lucas Museum of Narrative Art. Her interests focus on contemporary art and culture, curatorial practices, public programs, and cultural equity.
