    Amanda Freeman embarked on her federal government journey in 2008 with The Department of Homeland Security, United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) in Hartford, Connecticut, where she served as a Lead Immigration Services Assistant. Transitioning to Washington, D.C. in 2009, she assumed an analyst role at USCIS, delving into a diverse array of records management challenges. In 2010, Amanda advanced to the Department of Justice Office of the Inspector General (DOJ OIG) as an inspector within the Evaluation and Inspections Division. During her tenure with the DOJ OIG, Amanda contributed to comprehensive reviews spanning various programs, such as the DOJ’s International Prisoner Transfer Program and the FBI Laboratory's 1996 assessment. Her notable achievements include receiving accolades like the DOJ’s Honor Award and the CIGIE Award for Excellence in Evaluations.
