Amanda pursued her education at the University of Montana, where she studied Integrated Digital Media for her MFA degree, Journalism for her B.A. degree, and Photography at Massey University.

Throughout her career, Amanda has held various roles in prominent organizations. She served as the Digital Marketing Manager at Carroll College, Video Producer at Washington State University, Digital Content Editor and Multimedia Journalist at Great Falls Tribune, Assistant Photographic Technologist at Missoula Technology and Development Center, Online Producer and Online News Editor at Helena Independent Record, and Visual Journalism Fellow at The Poynter Institute. She also gained experience as a Photojournalism Intern at New West Missoula and worked as a Photojournalist and Page Designer at Montana Kaimin.
