Amalanand Muthukumaran is a computer science and business major, currently studying at Minerva Schools, a university focused on Edtech. As a student, he has been granted a full scholarship, which has enabled him to live, study, and work in seven cities around the world, including San Francisco, Seoul, Hyderabad, Berlin, Buenos Aires, and London.
Muthukumaran is an Edtech enthusiast, with experience in both K-12 and higher ed. During previous internships, he has engaged in web development, growth hacking, data engineering, data visualization, automated digital marketing, accounting systems, and product management. He has also created product roadmaps and PRDs and conducted teacher interviews.
In his articles, Muthukumaran has written about topics including why Amazon should disrupt YouTube, and how Quibi is the first streaming service good for users' health.
Muthukumaran's education includes having studied high school at Raffles Institution and receiving a 3.80 GPA in his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Business from Minerva Schools at KGI.
As for his work experience, Muthukumaran has been a Product Management Intern at ICX, a Data Engineering Intern, a Product Manager, and a Software Engineering Intern at Collab Asia, Inc. He has also interned at EDpuzzle, Inc., worked as a Growth Hacker & Web Developer at CognaLearn, Partnerships & Growth Hacking (Southeast Asia) at Minerva Schools at KGI, and served as a Finance Executive Assistant at Singapore Army. In addition, Muthukumaran has completed lab attachment and independent research at Harvard University and has worked other jobs at various companies.
Overall, Muthukumaran is working towards creating or growing a product that leverages Edtech for autodidactism. His ability to utilize his skills in tech and business, combined with his passion for Edtech, provides an optimistic outlook for his future in the field.
