Her educational background includes a High Diploma in Clinical Research Coordination from King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre, a LSE-Chicago Double Executive Master’s in Health Economics and Policy from The London School of Economics and Political Science, an MSc in Applied Epidemiology & Public Health from the University of Nottingham, a BA in Applied Biology from Jamiat Umm Al-Qura, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Medical Research and Statistics from Imperial College London.

Amal has held various roles in esteemed organizations, such as being an Advisor at the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT), Project Manager at the Ministry of Health Saudi Arabia, Associate Project Manager at the Ministry of Health Saudi Arabia, Researcher in Health Policies at the Saudi Health Council in Saudi Arabia, Consultant in Health Systems Research at the Ministry of Health Saudi Arabia, and as a Postgraduate Researcher at both Imperial College London and the University of Nottingham.
