Alyssa Menz

Alyssa Menz is a first-year PhD student at Yale School of the Environment, with a keen interest in the intersection of corporate sustainability and international development.

Prior to her current academic pursuit, Alyssa gained valuable experience as an international development professional, focusing on corporate social investment, entrepreneurship, innovation, local content, sustainable development, and the energy sector.

Her educational background includes pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Corporate Sustainability at Yale University, a Masters in Nature, Society, and Environmental Governance with a Dissertation with Distinction from the University of Oxford, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) with Departmental Honors in Sustainable Development from Columbia University in the City of New York.

Alyssa has been associated with various organizations, such as being a PHD student at Yale School of the Environment, and holding roles including Associate Manager, Lead Analyst, Senior Analyst, Analyst, and Consultant Intern at DAI. Additionally, she has served in diverse student/researcher roles at prestigious institutions like Columbia and Princeton University, The Earth Institute, Porter School of Environmental Studies, Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences, and the University of South Florida.
