Aly Gillani

Aly Gillani has over 10 years of experience in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) sector with a primary focus on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) as well as equity and debt financing for tech and media companies.

He has been involved in various technology transactions ranging from $50 million to $10 billion in size across different sub-sectors, with expertise in end-to-end transaction processes including sourcing, valuation, execution, and post-merger integration.

Aly Gillani holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Corporate Finance from the London Business School and a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo.

Currently, Aly Gillani serves as the Managing Director of TMT Investment Banking at RBC Capital Markets, having held various positions within the organization including Director, Associate, and Vice President in Communication, Media, and Technology Investment Banking.

Prior to his role at RBC Capital Markets, Aly Gillani worked as an Associate in TMT Investment Banking at CIBC World Markets and held the position of Senior Manager in Corporate Development (M&A) at Research In Motion. He also gained experience as a Consultant in Technology Strategy at Deloitte Consulting.
