Altaf Uddin: Advancing Innovation in Higher Education

Altaf Uddin is an accomplished Digital Transformation leader with a proven track record of creating, implementing, and enhancing processes and procedures to align with changing trends, customer needs, and core business objectives. He has a knack for effective communication, both at technical and non-technical levels, and is experienced in long-term strategic planning and Business-IT alignment.

Throughout his career in the higher education sector, Altaf has provided leadership for the development of innovative, secure and reliable information technology environments across biomedical research and simulcast pharmacy educational experiences between multiple campuses of the University of Kansas.

Altaf's academic journey started at The University of Kansas, where he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with a Computational and Applied Track, focused on Numerical Analysis, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Concentrated on Global Business. He also received the Global Awareness Program (GAP) certificate from KU before completing his Executive MBA Program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Currently serving as the Director of Information Systems in the School of Pharmacy at The University of Kansas, Altaf had previously been the Associate Director of Network Infrastructure and Security for Student Success, Director of Information Systems in the School of Law, and Desktop Support Manager at KU Center for Research.

With his expertise in digital transformation and IT management, Altaf has been helping higher education institutions keep up and innovate to meet the fast-changing education landscape, providing students with state-of-the-art learning experiences.
