Dr. Alpen Sheth serves as Partner and Head of Policy and Research at Borderless Capital, having previously held various roles in reputable organizations including Mercy Corps Ventures, WEF Crypto Council, Diem Association Council, Etherisc, World Bank Group, and more.
He obtained his Ph.D. in International Development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Master's Degree in Economic Geography from the University of Miami, and a BA in Anthropology from the University of Chicago.
Throughout his career, Dr. Sheth has engaged in diverse roles such as Partner & Head of Policy and Research, Strategic Advisor, Council Member, Senior Principal, Board Member, Founding Advisor, and more in organizations focusing on various aspects of policy, research, and technology.
He has contributed insights and expertise to numerous institutions and projects such as the World Economic Forum, Raincoat, Mercy Corps Ventures, Diem Association, MIT, and many others.
His professional journey includes experiences in strategic partnerships, disaster risk financing, blockchain technology, social impact advisory, cryptocurrency governance, and economic development.
Dr. Sheth has also been involved in academia as a visiting faculty member and has a wealth of experience in business development, GIS engineering consulting, and product management.
