Alma Daskalaki is a creative and innovative professional working as an Innovation Manager at the Crafts Council UK. With a degree in Design and Innovation from Queen Mary and Goldsmiths, University of London, and anMA in Curating Contemporary Design (Distinction) from Kingston University in partnership with the Design Museum, London, she is well-versed in the realms of design, innovation, and curation.
Utilizing her experience, Alma develops and manages innovation initiatives showcasing the makers working at the intersections of craft, science, technology, and engineering. She also explores developments in materials, processes, and technologies in craft practice to advocate the value of making skills in other industries. Alma's expertise lies in managing projects that encourage cross-sector collaborations, representing the Craft Council on various resource networks, and exploring the intersection of material science, design and making in academia and industry.
