Allister Chang

Allister Chang is a highly accomplished individual with a diverse background in public policy, history, and LGBTQ rights advocacy.
He holds a degree in Public Policy from Harvard University Kennedy School of Government, where he also worked on LGBTQ issues through The LGBTQ Policy Journal.
Allister graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in History from Tufts University and spent a year as a visiting student studying History at the University of Oxford.
He has been actively involved in various organizations, including co-founding Fabric Health and founding Civic Suds.
Allister has served as an Elected Member for Ward 2 at D.C. State Board of Education and held advisory roles at prestigious institutions like the Library of Congress and Halcyon.
His expertise extends to research, having worked as a Visiting Researcher at UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning and Global Public Policy Institute (GPPi).
Allister has been a Fellow at several organizations, including Robert Bosch Stiftung and Voqal, and previously served as the Executive Director at Libraries Without Borders.
