As an Associate Scientist, she utilized her knowledge to contribute to the development of products that enhance user experience and satisfaction—proving her ability to apply psychological principles to real-world applications.
Prior to her role as Associate Scientist, Allison was instrumental in the Sensory Evaluation for the Beauty Care division of Procter & Gamble. Here, she played a critical role in evaluating consumer products, ensuring that they not only met but exceeded consumer expectations in terms of sensory appeal and effectiveness. This position allowed her to craft strategies that enhance product lines, ensuring they resonate with targeted demographics.
Additionally, Allison contributed to the Perfume System Design for Liquid Fabric Softener and Laundry Detergent at Procter & Gamble, where she combined her analytical and creative skills to develop pleasant and desirable fragrances. This role required a keen understanding of consumer preferences and the science behind scent, showcasing her ability to blend psychology with product innovation.
Outside of her work at P&G, Allison Roman demonstrated her leadership and passion for community development as the Human Capital Manager at the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) at UPRM. In this position, she utilized her recruitment expertise to build a strong professional network within the organization while supporting the development of future engineering leaders. Her work as a Recruiting Manager at SHPE further solidified her commitment to fostering diversity in the engineering field, ensuring that underrepresented individuals have access to essential resources and opportunities.
