Lead Organizer

After almost 4.5 years at Techstars, I was fortunate to take a sabbatical to travel with my husband. We recognize our immense privilege that allowed us to step away from our "normal" life to enjoy a non-traditional adventure.

We explored Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and Greece. Our highlights include:

Australia 
- Road trip from Melbourne to Sydney & camping on the beach

New Zealand
- Spending quality time with my husband's friends and family (he was born there!) 
- Hiking the Milford Track with my husband's family & best friend
- Renting a camper van to explore the south island

Indonesia
- Getting PADI Scuba Dive Certified in Komodo National Park

Thailand
- Spending time with friends
- Snorkeling with bioluminescent plankton
- Cooking class & amazing food
- So many special temples and spiritual sites

Laos
- Meeting new friends
- One of the most beautiful waterfalls we've ever seen (Kuang Si)

Vietnam
- One of our new favorite cuisines 
- Bahn mi :)
- Visiting the "root temple" of our of our favorite Buddhist teachers, Thich Nhat Hanh
- Experiencing the vast diversity of Vietnam's culture, food, weather, and geography

Greece
- Exploring one of our favorite places with my parents

- Historic ancient sites & culture

We are so grateful for this time away! Aside from the adventures, we had time to evaluate our priorities, be thoughtful about designing the life we want to live, and strengthen the foundation of our marriage.

Promoted to oversee 16 accelerator programs and lead organization-level strategic projects.

▪Managed 1 employee and trained 9 accelerator staff members
▪Led 3 cross-functional, organization-level strategic projects
--> Designed centralized Notion workspace for 50+ accelerators to run their programs; led communication & alignment between vendor (Notion) & internal teams (IT, Operations, Accelerator staff)
--> Created Startup Sourcing Guide including tool stack, schedules, KPI tracker, and templates for accelerator staff to use when building their sourcing function
--> Restructured internal knowledge management system (Tettra) to improve clarity & efficiency; Reduced page count by >30%; facilitated alignment across functions  (Marketing, IT, Accelerator General Managers, etc.) to reach consensus on simplification

Techstars

Senior Operations Manager, Accelerator Operations

Promoted for consistently delivering above & beyond expectations and making major contributions to company-wide initiatives. 

▪Developed new program ecosystem from scratch: built community of 200+ mentors & investors and 30+ coaches; ran 3 top-performing accelerator programs from inception to completion
▪Owned all program logistics and operations including startup sourcing efforts, hiring, the accelerator programming, founder offsites, Demo Days, and vendor relationships
▪Managed successful relationships with 3 program partners + an external impact management firm
▪Created all program processes including vetting tools, implementing a new tech stack, and owning stakeholder management, onboarding, and engagement
▪Curated curriculum for the program, including content about impact management & capacity building
▪Hired and managed teams totaling 34 people
--> Led 2 teams of Venture Associates through sourcing & diligence of top early-stage social impact startups + nonprofits

▪ Participated in Selection Committee; offered feedback to the Managing Director on company pitches before final selection
▪ Onboarded 30 team members from 10 companies for the upcoming Accelerator
▪ Developed new executive coaching program; recruited 23 coaches, created process to match with founders
▪ Created the program schedule of 1,500+ meetings between 10 companies and 150 mentors

Lead Associate, Techstars Boulder Accelerator

▪ Managed 2 interns; empowered them to take ownership over impactful tasks  
▪ Created & managed the program schedule of 1,500+ meetings between 10 companies & 150 mentors and 25+ workshops
▪ Worked directly with accelerator companies on projects; customer and competitor research, business model & pitches
▪ Planned and produced Demo Day event to showcase 10 companies to 100 investors and 1000 community members; co-managed internal and external communications, volunteers, vendors, invites, and all event logistics with Program Director
▪ Developed an investor and non-dilutive capital pipelines to support the companies

Lead Associate, Techstars Sustainability Accelerator in Partnership with The Nature Conservancy

▪ Act as account manager to 34 retail partner accounts
--> Serve as direct link between Breakthru Beverage Group and retail outlets  
--> Develop strong relationships with account buyers to ensure expectations and needs are met
▪ Maintain and grow sales by understanding client needs and opportunities
--> Facilitate growth of wine sales in partner accounts and successfully launch new products by working with clients to develop mutually beneficial sales initiatives
--> Exceeded the division’s preset sales goals and projected revenue plans by growing overall sales by 5% per month

Breakthru Beverage Group

Management Development Program 

▪Planned and executed 9 two-day orientation sessions for incoming class of 2020 (1800+ students)
--> Guided small groups of new students by leading ice breakers and facilitating discussions
--> Ran sessions about course scheduling, campus housing, and student life
▪Created and led training program for 100 fellow college students who were hired to lead supplemental programing for incoming students 
▪Managed 25 upperclassmen assigned to assist new students in freshman dorms during first 3 weeks of classes
