Allan Kaplan
Senior Clinician Scientist CAMH
Allan Kaplan is a distinguished medical professional and researcher specializing in psychiatry and eating disorders.12 He currently serves as a Professor and Vice Chair of Psychiatry at CAMH (Center for Addiction and Mental Health) in Toronto.3 Dr. Kaplan is also a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto's Temerty Faculty of Medicine and a Full Member of the Graduate Faculty at the Institute of Medical Science.2
With over 35 years of experience in the field of eating disorders, Dr. Kaplan has made significant contributions to research and treatment.2 He has authored 200 peer-reviewed articles, two books, 60 book chapters, and over 200 abstracts.2 His research interests encompass various aspects of eating disorders, including the genetics of anorexia nervosa, psychobiology of eating disorders and obesity, and innovative treatments.2
