Aliya Ramji

Aliya Ramji is a highly educated individual with a diverse academic background in law, genetics, and biotechnology. She pursued her Doctor of Jurisprudence at Queen's University and furthered her legal studies by completing a Master of Laws at New York University School of Law.
In addition to her legal expertise, Aliya has a Bachelor of Science in Genetics and Biotechnology from the University of Toronto. She also studied at various prestigious institutions including the City University of Hong Kong, NYU School of Law, and Western Canada High School.
With a rich professional history, Aliya has held significant roles in renowned organizations. She co-founded and led Mt>Ventures, a division of McCarthy Tétrault and previously served as a partner at the same firm. She also contributed to Ryerson University as a course instructor covering legal aspects of international business and business law.
Aliya Ramji's experience includes executive positions at Figure 1, where she served as Director of Legal and Corporate Affairs, Director of Legal and Business Strategy, and General Counsel. She has also worked as a Senior Director of Legal and Corporate Affairs at the organization.
Prior to her roles at Figure 1, Aliya held positions in legal counsel, corporate affairs, and business advisory capacities at CSA Group, Gowlings, and Canadian Western Bank Valiant Trust Company.
