Alistair Strachan is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of international experience in the Earth-Observation (EO) industry, specializing in technical training/support, consultative solutions development, team-building/partnering, and project & program management.

With a background in EO data, GIS, GPS, photogrammetry, radargrammetry, and surveying, Alistair has worked with a diverse range of clients and employers, including commercial companies, federal, military, state, and local government agencies, as well as energy and agricultural organizations.

His expertise lies in discerning client needs, strategizing, and providing solutions using various technologies and services, focusing on articulating the business value to different audiences, whether functional, financial, or strategic.

Alistair is well-versed in international business practices and cultural etiquette, adept at multi-cultural operations and management.

He has a strong educational background, having studied at the Royal Defense College of Intelligence, the Royal School of Military Survey, and the American Management Association.

Alistair has held key positions in reputable organizations such as Airbus Defence and Space - Intelligence, i-cubed, LLC, Sanborn, Fugro Earthdata, Inc., Intermap Technologies, Inc., and The Centre for GIS.

He has contributed to various papers, workshops, and presentations, including the GeoSAR® Product Handbook, Flood Modeling in England and Wales using Geo-Data, Pipeline Route Planning using continent-wide IFSAR data acquisition, and conducting university workshops on IFSAR technology.
