Alissa Cardone, MA, MFA

Associate Professor at Boston Conservatory at Berklee

Alissa Cardone is an accomplished dancer, instructor, and curator with a robust background in interdisciplinary collaboration and problem solving. Cardone holds an MFA in World Arts & Culture from the University of California, Los Angeles and an MA in Performance Studies from New York University, as well as Bachelor's degrees in English and History from Boston University.

Her wide-ranging expertise includes mentoring and cultivating artists in a BFA program, curriculum development in dance and technology, teaching studio classes in contemporary dance, improvisation, experiential anatomy, Butoh and image-based movement, dance on film and video. She also has experience in curating and project development, curriculum and program development, as well as curriculum mapping.

Cardone is an active member of the Mobius Artist Group and has previously held teaching and administrative roles at institutions such as Boston Conservatory at Berklee and Curry College. She has also worked as a choreographer at Kinodance, a curator for the Critical Moves Contemporary Dance Series, and as a program assistant for the Rockefeller Foundation. Additionally, Cardone has been a co-curator for Boston Cyberarts, Inc.
