Alissa Barron-Menza

Alissa Barron-Menza is a dedicated professional with a robust background in advocating for a fair minimum wage and sustainable business practices.

She holds a B.A. from Brown University and has furthered her studies in Ecuador at the School for International Training.

Alissa currently serves as the Vice President at Business for a Fair Minimum Wage, a national network of business owners and executives promoting fair wages as good business.

Her previous roles include Senior Advisor at the Center for a New American Dream, Managing Director at BALLE (now Common Future), Co-Author & Lead Researcher at Community Food Enterprise, and Chair of the Global Steering Committee for the International Year of the Reef.

Additionally, she has contributed to environmental conservation efforts as National Communication and Outreach Coordinator for the Coral Reef Conservation Program at NOAA and Assistant Director at the Alliance for Aquatic Resource Monitoring at Dickinson College.

Alissa's diverse experiences also include being the Principal at her eponymous business, Alissa Barron-Menza, and working as a Research Associate at the Aquaculture Clearinghouse at SeaWeb.
