Alison Polton-Simon

Alison Polton-Simon is a dedicated software engineer currently working at AngazaDesign and previously with ThoughtWorks. She is an alumna of Dartmouth College, where she majored in Engineering and Public Policy with a minor in Computer Science. Before Dartmouth, Alison studied at Hunter College High School in NYC. Alison is known for her expertise in software engineering and her passion for combining technology with social impact.

At Angaza, Alison has held various roles including Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, and currently serves as an Engineering Manager. Prior to her time at Angaza, she gained valuable experience as a Teaching Assistant at Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College and as a Computer Engineering Intern at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. Alison's diverse background includes leadership positions such as President at Dartmouth Humanitarian Engineering and a Rockefeller Leadership Fellow at Rockefeller Center for Public Policy and the Social Sciences.

Alison's professional journey has been marked by a commitment to technology, public policy, and social responsibility. Her time as a War and Peace Fellow at the Dickey Center for International Understanding showcases her dedication to using her skills for global impact. Originally from New York City, Alison now finds solace and inspiration in the mountains, where she feels most at home.
