Alison O'Hara

Alison O'Hara, PsyD, is a dedicated and experienced professional in the field of clinical psychology. She obtained her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology, Chicago Campus, building upon her earlier degrees in psychology and sociology from Eastern Illinois University. With a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology also from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology, Alison has a well-rounded educational background.

Alison is the Founder and Licensed Clinical Psychologist at OHara Therapy of Chicago, where she provides expert therapy services. Prior to this role, she worked as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist at Symmetry Counseling, gaining valuable experience in the field. Alison's journey in psychology also includes significant positions such as Post-Doctoral Fellow and Doctoral Intern at Sankofa Psychological Services, LLC.

Throughout her career, Alison has accumulated diverse experiences including roles as an Advanced Therapy Extern at Illinois Institute of Technology, Therapy Extern at Psychological Consultations, and Diagnostic Extern at Psychological Consultations. Additionally, she has a research background, having served as a Research Assistant at Eastern Illinois University and conducted Independent and Supervised Research.
