Camp Bow Wow was acquired by Propelled Brands in February of 2024. Propelled Brands is the multi-brand platform for FASTSIGNS®, MY SALON Suite®, Camp Bow Wow® and NerdsToGo®, all of which have found tremendous success in their respective industries.

In my role, I am focused on improving the employee experience regarding benefits, total compensation, recognition, engagement, culture, and so much! I am excited to build programs to impact all brands and help Propelled Brands advance their goal of becoming an employer of choice.

I have been teaching fitness classes since college. After graduating, I worked at various gyms and contracted with corporate offices. I have taught everything from boot camp, kickboxing, step, spin, TRX, circuit, Zumba and Pilates. 

Currently, I teach strength and conditioning classes at the Bison Ridge recreation center in Commerce City.

Overhauled the processes, policies, and strategy of the Human Resources department while aligning with the business strategy and goals. I was a member of the leadership team at Food Service Holdings (FSH) that encompasses three businesses BSI, English Manufacturing and Colorado Custom Stone. • Proactively consult with hiring manager to develop needs for position, manage the full cycle of the recruiting process, and continuously analyze our job posting strategy to provide diverse candidate pools
• Assist with design, implementation, and management of our on-boarding program to provide an innovative and relevant process for new hires
• Support the design and implementation of our performance management process by managing the system software and providing training to employees or managers 
• Organize our annual open enrollment process, act as a liaison between insurance providers and the organization, issue the employee wellness program, and participate in annual benefit renewal

• Maintained HRIS data in ADP and benefit vendor’s databases.
• Lead the implementation of reoccurring schedules on exempt employee’s time cards. 
• Researched ACA reporting requirements and spearheaded tool installation, vendor relations, and tax filing.
• Participated in developing a new performance management process and lead the software selection team.
• Launched two online wellness challenges for staff and created weekly communications.
• Supported the full cycle of employment recruiting. 
• Processed payroll changes and reviewed batch for biweekly pay cycle
• Helped with coordinating annual open enrollment and annual Graduate Medical Education resident onboarding. 
• Assisted with benefit enrollment process for new hires and reconciled monthly insurance invoices.

By using my previous experience in college recruiting and holistic view of Conagra Food, I contributed to the talent acquisition department in the following ways:
•Formulated, developed, and evaluated college recruiting strategies for the businesses I support
•Supported Brand MBA recruiting through 6 campus teams and multiple business partners 
•Partnered with Sales, Human Resources, International, and Category Leadership to hire undergraduate summer interns and direct from campus full time employees
•Managed the complete candidate life cycle of recruitment process from specification development, first interview through employment offer
•Scheduled, organized and executed college recruiting events and national recruiting conferences

Conagra Brands

I was selected to participate in Conagra Food's Human Resources Development Program. This was year two of a two-year rotational. 

The Trenton, Missouri union manufacturing facility employs 400 individuals and I supported the business in the following ways:
•Processed employee data, job data, benefit, and payroll transactions for 400 associates
•Point of contact for 375 hourly associate’s employee relation concerns
•Administered benefit plans, organized open enrollment and coordinated Trenton’s wellness team
•Collaborated with union leadership, employees, and managers to investigate and resolve contractual matters
•Lead staffing, recruiting, and on boarding for hourly, temporary workers, non-exempt and exempt employees 
•Managed hourly and salary FMLA and STD absence records and process
•Counseled supervisors and managers to ensure company policies and procedures were followed

Associate Human Resources Generalist

I was selected to participate in Conagra Food's Human Resources Development Program. This was year one of a two-year rotational. 

I was an Associate Recruiter in the College Recruiting department. My main role was supporting Supply Chain recruitment efforts for our core schools. A description of my role is as follows:
•Hired 33 Supply Chain interns and 11 full-time employees for FY 2013
•Point of contact for 6 campus teams to help organize and attend events/career fairs on campus
•Assisted HR Generalist in improving the Manufacturing Development Program
•Lead additional projects throughout the year: visa sponsorship documentation, corporate tours, and consumer affairs recruiting

My summer internship with Conagra Brands not only prepared me for the professional workplace, but offered me an opportunity to work for them full time in the Human Resources Development Program following my graduation.

Supply Chain Human Resources Intern

I completed 120 hours of training to be able to teach step, kickboxing, spin, floor aerobics, boot camp, circuit weight, and strength and conditioning class. Outside of UNI I have participated in Pilates and Zumba certification. In my four years at UNI, I taught 4-8 classes a semester in all of the above disciplines .

I worked as an Office Assistant for the Wellness and Recreational Services Instructional Fitness Manager (Dana Foster) in the Fall of 2011. I helped with every day tasks along with employee relations/communications. Side projects I worked on was marketing, social media account management, fitness program development, and event planning.
