    Alison Durbin is an experienced artist and host, specializing in visual arts, community, and outdoor learning for over 20 years. She works with digital and natural materials, mixed media, printmaking, and socially engaged art. Alison is also skilled in hosting experiences, residencies, project management, and communications. She holds a First Class Bachelor of Arts (BA hons) in Fine Art from The University of Reading and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts (MA) in Art and Social Practice at UHI.

    Alison's educational background includes studies at the University of Reading where she completed her Bachelor of Arts (BA hons) in Fine Art. Additionally, she furthered her education by pursuing a Master of Arts (MA) in Art and Social Practice at UHI. Alison's academic journey also included studies at Broxbourne School.

    Throughout her career, Alison Durbin has been involved with various organizations in different roles. She served as the Communications Manager & Training Apiary Manager on a voluntary basis at Lochaber Beekeepers Association. Additionally, Alison held roles as an Artist, Communications Manager, and Forest School Leader at Wildwood Arts and Wildwood Bushcraft respectively. She also contributed to conservation efforts as the Communications Officer at Dhole Conservation Project. Moreover, Alison has extensive experience as an Independent Community Artist, working with organizations like Aberdeenshire Council, Reading Borough Council, Ravenswood-Norwood, and others.
