Alifya Valiji is a driven and accomplished platform lead, venture associate and founder with a wealth of experience in finance, environmental and sustainability management. She graduated from Emory University's Goizueta Business School with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Conservation & Sustainability Management. She honed her skills in Investment banking at Perella Weinberg Partners, where she worked as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst and Investment Banking Analyst. She has also worked with several organizations, including the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and GCM Grosvenor.
Throughout her career, Valiji has leveraged her expertise to drive innovation in the startup sphere. As the former Founder and CEO of Closed Round, she worked to break down the black box surrounding early-stage VC funding. She has also served as a Senior Program Manager at Launch House and as a Venture Associate at Techstars, where she was instrumental in sourcing deals and developing strong relationships with investors.
Valiji has also been active in the Emory Entrepreneurship & Venture Management - HackATL community, serving as both President and Director. Additionally, as a former Fellow at the Experience Institute at Sage Corps and Project Strategy Intern at Peanut Butter Inc., she brings to the table a wealth of experience in startup acceleration.
