Alicia Staley

Alicia C. Staley is the VP, Patient Engagement at Medidata with over 20 years of experience in software design and information systems management.

As a three-time cancer survivor, Alicia applies her engineering background to enhance the patient experience in dealing with cancer and collaborates with various stakeholders to improve processes and policies impacting patient care and clinical trials.

She co-founded #BCSM, a renowned online platform that facilitates discussions around breast cancer, attracting a global audience and setting the standard for disease-specific social media networks.

With a background in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA in Business Administration and Management from Syracuse University and Boston University respectively, Alicia's key competencies include Patient Engagement, mHealth, Clinical Trial Patient Recruitment & Retention, Social Media for Clinical Trial Awareness, and Patient Research.
