Alice Wright

Alice Wright is a meticulous and dedicated publisher with a wealth of experience in creating resources for schools and commissioning academic monographs and textbooks in Classical Studies, Ancient History, Archaeology, and Egyptology.

She holds an MPhil in Egyptology, Ancient Egyptian History, and Literature with a distinction and also studied Literae Humaniores at the University of Oxford, excelling in Classics, Greek & Latin Literature, Ancient History, Classical Archaeology, and Linguistics.

Currently, Alice is the Publisher of Classics and Archaeology at Bloomsbury Academic, overseeing the publishing partnership with OCR for GCSE, AS, and A Level Ancient History, Classical Civilisation, Greek, and Latin.

Her previous roles include being the Commissioning Editor, then Senior CE at Bloomsbury Academic, as well as holding positions at Thames & Hudson such as Associate Editor, Assistant Editor, and Assistant to the Commissioning Editor for Archaeology & Ancient History. Alice also started her publishing career as a Publishing Trainee at Nelson Thornes.
