Aliah Najmabadi is a traditional dance artist, scholar, and cultural worker with a passion for uplifting artists as leaders and change-makers in their communities.
Aliah holds a Master's degree in Mmus Performance from the University of London's School of Oriental & African Studies, as well as Bachelor of Arts degrees in Near Eastern Languages & Cultures and World Arts & Cultures from UCLA. Additionally, she studied Dance Ethnology at San Francisco State University.
Her professional experience includes roles such as Program Manager at Alliance for California Traditional Arts, Artistic Director at Samaa Arts & Culture Initiative, Artist at Golden Thread Productions, Dance Program Director at Zambaleta World Music & Dance School, Program Manager at Tajik Dance Initiative, and Assistant Director and Dance Artist at Ballet Afsaneh.
