Ali holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies with concentrations in Dance and Race/Ethnic Studies from Barnard College, complemented by a Master of Arts from Wesleyan University's Institute for Curatorial Practice in Performance.
Her educational journey includes immersive studies in Dominican and Haitian History, Bachata Dance, as well as professional dance training at institutions like Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
