    Ali Jadbabaie is a distinguished academic with a rich educational background and vast experience in various prestigious organizations. He pursued a PhD in Control and Dynamical Systems from Caltech, an MS in Electrical Engineering from The University of New Mexico, and a BS in Electrical Engineering/Controls from Sharif University of Technology. Throughout his career, Ali has held key positions at several renowned institutions, including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the University of Pennsylvania. At MIT, he served as the Head of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, the Associate Director of the Institute for Data, Systems, and Society, and the Director of the Sociotechnical Systems Research Center. Additionally, he was the JR East Professor of Engineering in MIT's Civil and Environmental Engineering department. Before joining MIT, Ali was the Alfred Fitler Moore Professor of Network Science at the University of Pennsylvania, where he also held positions as the Skirkanich Associate Professor of Innovation in Electrical & Systems Engineering, Associate Professor of Electrical and Systems Engineering, and Assistant Professor of Electrical and Systems Engineering. He also worked as a Postdoctoral Associate in Electrical Engineering at Yale University.
