Ali Ahmed

Ali Ahmed, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at UiT, Karachi, with over 10 years of experience in product development in hardware and software.

His research interests include computer architecture, IoT, and Information Security, focusing on micro-architecture, memory, and storage systems.

Ali holds a Ph.D. and MS in ECE from Hanyang University, South Korea, and BE degrees in Electronics Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi.

He has expertise in FPGA tools like Xilinx ISE and Vivado, Verilog, ASIC, ModelSim, SOC, embedded microprocessors, and various communication protocols.

In the Internet of Things domain, Ali excels in embedded systems, C programming, ARM Cortex-M3, STM32, wireless technologies, communication protocols like UART, SPI, and I2C, embedded toolchains, PCB design, and Embedded Linux.

He has a proven track record of developing and delivering complete solutions, and his industrial experience includes starting the Product development division at Horizon Tech, Islamabad.

Ali's professional journey includes roles such as Chief Executive Officer at Brandmefy, Team Head at Micro Electronics Research Laboratory -UIT, Information Technology Consultant at Sahil Semiconductors, and Assistant Professor at Usman Institute of Technology.

He has also been an EF LD14 cohort member at Entrepreneur First, Hardware Design Engineer at Horizon Technologies, Assistant Manager at IKS, and an Internee at Pakistan Refinery Limited.
