Alfred H. Gooden III

Alfred Gooden is a seasoned architect with over 39 years of experience in the industry. He has worked on a variety of projects, ranging from corporate workplace interiors to historic building renovations, government facilities, data centers, higher education, multi-family, hospitality, and private residences. As a senior leader at BBGM, Al provides design leadership, oversees project management, conducts design reviews, and sets the design direction of projects to ensure that client goals are met. He is known for his ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues, and his passion for mentoring younger staff members.

Alfred studied Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Maryland College Park, where he earned a BArch and a Bachelor of Arts. He has also spoken at various events, including the IAMC Workplace Forum, the University of Philadelphia School of Architecture, and the Mann Report. Alfred's recent speaking engagement was in 2019, where he discussed Corporate Workplace Being Schooled By Kindergarten. Alfred has held leadership positions at several organizations, including Director at BBGM, Principal/Partner at SK+I-Quorum, Inc., and Principal at Group Goetz Architects [GGA].
