Alexis Madrigal

Alexis Madrigal is a highly accomplished individual with a deep-rooted appreciation for the Bay Area and its community.

Educationally, Alexis earned a BA with Magna Cum Laude honors in English from Harvard University. Additionally, he has undertaken various scholarly visits at the University of California, Berkeley, including at the Center for Science, Technology, Medicine, and Society, the Information School, and the Office for History of Science and Technology.

Throughout his career, Alexis has held various key roles at prestigious organizations. He was the Founder of the Oakland Garden Club and has contributed significantly as a Co-Host at KQED, a Contributing Writer at The Atlantic, an Author at Farrar, Straus and Giroux, a Co-Founder of The COVID Tracking Project, a Staff Writer at The Atlantic, an Editor at Large at Fusion Media Group, an Editor in Chief at Fusion Media Group, the Silicon Valley Bureau Chief, and Executive Producer at Fusion Media Group. Alexis has also served as a Senior Editor at The Atlantic and authored 'Powering the Dream' while working as a Staff Writer at Wired Digital.
