Alexis Lebel

Alexis Lebel is a senior manager with extensive experience in fintech, microfinance, and SME finance. He is passionate about using technology to promote financial inclusion and development. Lebel has worked as an entrepreneur, founding a greenfield microfinance institution in Afghanistan and a fintech company called OpenCBS, which specializes in affordable and scalable core banking systems and digital transformation solutions for smaller-sized financial institutions. He has also acted as a consultant for various projects related to strategic planning, SME finance, and microfinance, funded by donors or development finance institutions such as KfW, the German Federal Ministry of Foreign Cooperation and Development, GiZ, the International Finance Cooperation, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. He has fluency in Mandarin Chinese and is proficient in Russian and Persian.
