Alexis Izor is a data enthusiast with a keen interest in promoting diversity, equity, and sustainability in various fields including food systems and environmental stewardship.
Having pursued a Master's degree in Environment & Community from Antioch University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Environmental Studies, and Politics from Ithaca College, Alexis has a strong educational background to support her passion.
With a diverse organizational experience, Alexis has served as a Human Services Coordinator at the City of Seattle and held various roles at organizations like Food Lifeline, United Way of King County, Food Bank of the Southern Tier, Greenstar Community Projects, and Green Plate Special.
Her professional journey includes founding and being a member of the POC Affinity Group, contributing to the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, and coordinating programs related to hunger-free schools and nutrition hubs.
Alexis Izor has also volunteered, educated communities, managed sustainability projects, and interned at Cornell Cooperative Extension, Tompkins Country Conservation Corps, and Public Citizen within the energy program.
