Alexis Gonzales-Black

Alexis Gonzales-Black is a renowned org design and transformation expert with over a decade of experience in the field. She currently serves as a Partner and Org Design Practice Lead at August Public, where she works with some of the world's most beloved organizations to design agile and responsive structures and implement change programs. Alexis has a B.S. in Biology from James Madison University and has worked in various leadership roles throughout her career. She led the implementation of Holacracy at Zappos and helped shape an emerging org design practice at the global design firm IDEO. She published her book, The New School Rules, in 2018, and has been a member of several boards, including WestEd and the Nevada State Board of Education. Alexis is passionate about distilling complex ideas into coherent and down-to-earth language that inspires people to embrace change.
