Alexandria Sica

Alexandria Sica is the Executive Director of the DUMBO Improvement District, a position she has held since December 2010.2 As the Executive Director, she works closely with the Board of Directors to oversee the organization's initiatives and operations.3

The DUMBO Improvement District is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing and promoting the DUMBO neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York. It functions as a Business Improvement District (BID), providing various services to the community.1

Under Alexandria's leadership, the DUMBO Improvement District has implemented numerous initiatives to support the neighborhood, including:

• Supporting over 100 independent businesses and 1000+ creative offices
• Managing sanitation efforts, including the collection of 86,600 bags of trash
• Improving public spaces with the installation of planters, benches, and decorative lighting
• Organizing community events and public art installations
• Advocating for the neighborhood during major construction projects1
