Alexandre Villela

Alexandre Villela is a prominent figure in the venture capital and investment industry, currently serving as the Managing Director for Qualcomm Ventures since February 2018. He primarily focuses on deals in LATAM and areas such as Digital Enterprise, Networking, Datacenter, and 5G technologies in the US.

Before his role at Qualcomm Ventures, Villela was associated with Intel Capital from January 2011 to February 2018, where he led equity investments in the Networking & Communications infrastructure sectors, with a base in the US. During his tenure, he oversaw investments in companies that were later acquired for over $2 billion in enterprise value, including notable exits like Affirmed Networks, CloudGenix, Nyansa, and Big Switch Networks.

With a rich educational background, Alexandre Villela holds an MBA from INSEAD, along with completing programs on Artificial Intelligence at MIT Sloan School of Management and Machine Learning at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also pursued post-graduation in Business Administration from FGV and earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas.

Throughout his career, Villela has been associated with various renowned organizations and held key roles, including Senior Vice President and Head of Ventures at DigitalBridge, Business Advisor at Solinftec, and roles as a Board member or Observer at companies like Mindset Ventures, Advent International, Pensando Systems, and many others.
