Contributed to the design and implementation of Opower's first generation of meter read storage running on a Big Data stack (hbase, hadoop, yarn) and storing billions (and constantly growing) of reads. 

Contributed to the design and implementation of our REST service to expose the API to retrieve meter read data from HBase.

Lead simplification efforts of Opower's second generation meter read storage architecture and ingest pipeline reducing operational costs and improving data availability times from what was previously several hours down to minutes. Integrated features in our REST service to compare latency performance on production systems between storage schema versions as well as to validate and identify potential data discrepancies between those in order to have full confidence in the new system before switching all traffic.
