Alexandre Neto

Alexandre Neto is a seasoned professional with over fifteen years of experience in the energy sector, specializing in Microgrids, Storage, Smart Grids, and the integration of Renewable Energy Sources in the grid. With a solid background in international projects and a decade spent in France, Alexandre has cultivated extensive expertise in working with global teams, partners, and customers. His interests span across energy and flexibility management, VPPs, energy services, electrical mobility, renewable energies, storage, microgrids, and energy and environmental policies. Alexandre's educational journey includes a Master of Engineering - MEng in Electrical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, along with additional studies in Digital Transformation at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, IBM Data Science Professional Certificate from Coursera, Machine Learning from Stanford University, and an MBA in General Management from IAE Paris - Sorbonne Business School. He also pursued studies in Electrical Engineering at Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) and attended Escola Secundária Sebastião da Gama. Throughout his career, Alexandre has held various key positions in renowned organizations such as Siemens (as the Business Development Manager for Microgrids), EDP NEW R&D (as the Head of Digital Energy Area and a Project Manager and Consultant), Nissan Motor Corporation (as the V2G and Energy Storage Section Manager), GE Grid Solutions (formerly Alstom Grid) as a Smart Grid Project Manager, among others. His rich professional background includes roles as a Consultant at Innhotep, Smart Grid Project Manager at GDF SUEZ, Research engineer at Voltalis, Energy Efficiency Services Manager at FLUDIA, Energy Engineer at EDF Energies Nouvelles, Commercial Engineer at RSW Portugal, Junior Consultant at PROCAF, and experience as a Trainee at EDP Distribuição and Agência Municipal de Energia de Sintra.
