Alexandre Drouin

Alexandre Drouin is a Principal Research Scientist at ServiceNow Research in Montreal and an Adjunct Professor of Computer Science at Laval University and Mila.5 He leads ServiceNow’s Human Decision Support research program, which focuses on machine learning for decision-making in complex, dynamic environments.45 His LinkedIn username is drouinalexandre.2

Drouin's primary research interest is causal decision-making under uncertainty, with a focus on answering causal questions and accounting for uncertainties.45 He is also interested in probabilistic time series forecasting and its use in foreseeing the long-term effect of actions.45

Drouin obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Université Laval in 2019, under the supervision of François Laviolette.15 His doctoral research focused on machine learning algorithms for biomarker discovery in large genomic datasets, with applications to antibiotic resistance.45
