Alexandra Yoon-Hendricks

Alexandra Yoon-Hendricks is a journalist who currently works as a reporter at The Sacramento Bee. She specializes in covering equity and disparities in Sacramento as part of a community-funded journalism lab. Alexandra has a Bachelor's Degree in English and Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, and has studied journalism at the Medill-Northwestern Journalism Institute. She started her journalism career as an intern at The New York Times and NPR in Washington, D.C. In college, she was the managing editor of The Daily Californian, Berkeley's independent and award-winning student newspaper.
Prior to her current position, Alexandra was the county reporter at The Sacramento Bee where she covered the capital's surrounding suburbs and cities, and other regional trends in the Central Valley. She has a passion for storytelling and has worked in various roles such as senior reporter, city news editor, assistant news editor, and lead business and economy reporter at The Daily Californian. Alexandra's expertise includes community reporting, investigative journalism, and data analysis.
